Why Use a Metronome ???

    While practicing our instrument, weather you are experienced or a novice, we tend to speed up 
or slow down the tempo. When we speed up, the piece of music can appear to complex and mistakes 
are made. Start playing at a tempo where you can play the entire piece comfortably and mistake 
free, and the metronome will help you maintain that tempo. Most music has a metronome marking.. 
this tempo will give you an idea of the tempo the piece should played. 
    When you use a metronome, you strengthen your " timing muscle " - this is essential if you plan 
to play with other people at a consistent tempo. Use of the metronome will build the foundation 
for all your musical understanding.
